Five-Fruit Tray
six-page book contribution

six-page book contribution
2025
Exploring the materiality of language and experimental typography, this project was created as a six-page contribution to a collaborative class book. The brief encouraged a playful and experimental approach to working with text. My contribution is about the five-fruit tray (mâm ngũ quả in Vietnamese), a traditional Vietnamese New Year offering where each fruit symbolizes a specific blessing: health, wealth, happiness, success, and peace. Each page explores these blessings through New Year’s greetings and objects, entirely crafted out of letters, symbols, characters, and accents.
